Infra-Legalities article in the European Journal of International Law

Dimitri’s latest article – Virtual Borders – International Law and the Elusive Inequalities of Algorithmic Association – has been published in the European Journal of International Law.
The article builds on research within the infra-legalities project to analyse how the use of algorithmic tools by international public authorities is changing how legal norms are made and enacted. It reveals the particular forms of inequality that are enacted in this process and analyses how algorithmic governance threatens the emancipatory promises of collectivity, solidarity and equality entertained in modernist ideals of international law.
